Pre-WW2 U.S. Army Officers M1902 Dress Sword. Sold by N.S. Meyer and put out by Colonial Cutlery. Interesting enough I have an identical example that is engraved to a Lt. In the U.S. 15th Infantry Regiment. The 15th Infantry Regiment spent a considerable time stationed in Tientsin, China before WW2. Colonial Cutlery was founded in 1926, so the sword dates no earlier than that year. -

I would doubt it. If it was used at a military academy, it would not be abused like that at an academy. An academy would not allow that kind of damage to its stock... I dont know how long it has been since Americans last used swords in combat? Before WW1.... ? Spanish American War? But I would bet it was before your sword was made.... More likely it was abused by someones kid or grand kids playing war in the back yard... Just my opinion. I do like it. -

Just got this 17th/101st Airborne Jacket that's named to C L I F F O R D - B E R G S T R O M of Company C, 466th Parachute Field Artillery Battalion. Looks like he made a jump during Operation Varsity. I'm not really a Airborne collector, so I'm just curious on the going rate for a jacket like this. -

I've added some details about this Saber sword. I think its original owner's descendants may have used it very violently, causing the scabbard to be deformed and covered in knife marks. There's deformation at the guard and the hilt joint. -

Greetings y’all, I’m Hayden. I'm familiar with this forum; it's very helpful for research, and I often have the same questions as others here. A bit about me: I began collecting in 2016 and have since accumulated hundreds of items. While my collection itself started in 2016, it officially began operating under the name Heritage and Honor in 2023. Since then, I’ve attended numerous events and collaborated with museums to publicly display my collection, helping educate those who may be unfamiliar with history or simply want to learn more. I primarily collect WWII and Vietnam-era items, but my collection is fairly broad. I have pieces ranging from WWI through the GWOT from several different nations. There isn't a specific category of items I avoid collecting, though I tend to find myself picking up more field gear and helmets than uniforms. Named items & groupings are easily some of the most interesting pieces to research and handle. Although I've been around for a while, I'm always looking to learn more and help out where I can. I've already made my first post asking for assistance with a D-Day assault jacket I have coming in that will be used for displays at the shows mentioned above. Looking forward to interacting with everyone! Hayden -
