In the photo you posted it looks like the lower belt is dated 1937 or 1939. The belt closure has the thicker M1912 type buckle. The WW2 belts usually have the later style pot metal buckles. Tim -

There could be more of them where I found this one. 200 acres and at one time it was referred to as "Arrow Head Farm". Possibly a coat was brought back. Didn't the Roman Legions have an Eagle guidon they sort of worshipped that was carried at the front of their formations? The eagle is quite the bird of awe in the world it seems, or was.
