Approximately 7,000 American women served overseas as nurses during the Vietnam War. Front line nurses worked in high stress conditions sometimes under fire, during rocket attacks, and in blackouts to provide vital care and emotional support for injured soldiers. Grace Chalmers was a nurse, "an Angel in fatigues". She cared for injured soldiers in both World War 2 and in Vietnam. Pictured below are some of her keepsakes from her 28 years as an Army nurse where she positively affected many people. -

Another captured M1 Carbine used by the enemy foto find. Here in Italy sometime in late 1944 like November say, division unknown. He appears to be wearing a jacket of sorts made from Italian Telo mimetico over his Greatcoat, and helmet cover is made of it too. note the spare barrel case for the MG-34/MG-42 -

How common are they and what are they worth? The reason I was asking was that I read some stuff that indicated that they were somewhat uncommon, and I remembered seeing a named one in a antique store a few years ago for $45. -
