Thanks Leigh. In the past few months I’ve posted a few questions (concerns) about helmets and knives. Also just general question(s) about items I’ve seen at shows, on the forum or other online sites. -

Agree with Unclgrumpy. I hate being so hard on AI info as AI certainly is here to stay and can do some incredible things. When it comes to "understanding" other info it nets online it is seldom reliable - often quoting such "fanciful" statements which have not only zero vetting but are often downright fabrications. Plenty of well-established, detailed info which is now ignored for anything more modern. New collectors want rapid-fire instagram pics info over vetted books. Rant over, Dave -

USCapturephotos, Would you please put the link up for anyone else interested? I have and want to have more CDVs, etc. The technique you mention might be useful for other applications too. TIA! -

Hey Scott. There is an easy way to take it out with no damage. I’m sure someone has posted a video about it on YouTube, but it’s better than prying it out with a knife, etc.. If you can’t find any videos on how to do it, let me know and I can send you a quick clip on how to do it. Always good to do as there may be an Id written behind the image or something tucked behind it as that was popular to do. Paul -

I found these on my old farm. What a surprise. Occupation title search date back to the early 1800'S but I've found relics that go farther back than that. No research has indicated any military activity but there was military movement all around the counties here. -
