All the value would be in the badge (in such poor condition, cap itself has little value). But with all the verdigris on the badge, it is worth far below $99. Still can’t get over his description. He comes off as a wannabe Hallmark card inscription writer: “hat oozes been there character, displaying a perfect, untouched patina that collectors dream of.” “an exceptional 100% authentic piece of WW2 medical military history”, -

As far as I know, there is no Army Commendation Ribbon. what does its absence signify? Do you think he added the ETO SSI? what does the ASF SSII look like? Is the ASF SSI what a Medic would wear rather ETO Communications Zone SSI? Thanks again -

Most defiantly was. I missed the rationing by a few years but remember the stories from mom and dad. Dad a WW2 veteran. After poking around several of the WW2 Patten training camps my eyes were opened up by what I was not seeing a lot of what I had expected to see if that makes any since. -

Considering Hogan's Heroes, the Germans did use Norwegian Krags, so SGT Schwarz carrying one is not out of the question. However, in the TV show, he has an American Krag. -

I see a WW2 Occupation Medal ribbon bar, but no Army Commendation Ribbon. Is there a loose one? Army Service Forces wore a different SSI. The one on the uniform is for the European Theater of Operations Communications Zone. -

Your color chart reflects changes to the colors in the late 1950's - This is an 8th class medal (attached) - Your original post indicated medals being assembled as opposed to ribbon bars (which is what you are saying now). However a couple of years ago a member was expelled for embellishing uniforms with insignia that did not belong to the original owner. I personally have no interest in uniforms so I really have nothing more to add to this subject. ) -

Ah $99 is not too bad but I’d still get your money back. It’s too tough and no matter what it’s a put together -

Thanks for the info on the Ike Jacket. Any information on the Captain. I am a doctor and my Dad was in the Royal Army Medical Corps in 1945 at the close of the war just after he graduated from Liverpool University Medical School, so I like to find out about specific soldiers. -

I think you are right. He came across this cap and made the wrong conclusions. Clearly not what is says it is but the cap insignia is nice. would buy the cap for that but at a price that would reflevct that
