Funny as it is... I put this on the wrong posting topic. Will re-post to the "unauthorized" CIB page. -

I recently came across this Republic of China Air Force (ROCAF) officer's uniform grouping and would love to get a "Legit Check" from the experts here. The group includes the visor hat, tunic with original belt, and all insignia. Key details noticed: Chinese Pilot Wings: Hallmarked "N.S. MEYER INC. NEW YORK" with the shield logo. Collar Insignia: Winged propellers and rank bars I'm particularly interested in the authenticity of the Meyer wings and whether the grouping looks like a consistent late-WWII or early post-war set. Any insights on the manufacture or potential history would be greatly appreciated! -

I still can't believe they showed Cross Of Iron on the kibbutz I lived on in Israel in 1979? There was a Holocaust survivor living there with her arm tattooed. I'm sure she didn't go see it. -

thanks it’s really nice art. I just wonder what this belongs to. I’ve heard theories from PBY to B29 to even tanks. I wonder if it’s worth posting in the what’s this section? -

As eagle mtn stated If I may add to him From the TIOH The distinctive unit insignia was originally approved for the 83d Engineer Construction Battalion on 15 July 1952. It was redesignated for the 83d Engineer Battalion on 7 October 1957. In the 50s the 83rd Engineer Battalion was stationed believe it or not in France, it does go to West Germany, when France leaves the Military alliance as it were with NATO, (It keeps the political relations) and all Allied personal must leave France rather immediately.
