Not seeing any Valor just a bunch of German stuff

Overall, not a bad month for finds, which were quite diversified. Will start withe the 40mm shell I got at the swapper. Not one big on such things, but it was so nice for $50. could not resist buying it. I can envision Pom-Pom guns blazing away at Japanese aircraft with their pilots Hell-bent on sinking our Naval vessels in the latter days of WWII off Iwo or Oky. Other subsequent finds included the US Bugle I acquired with a Sheridan Blue Streak pellet rifle, for $50./pair. At a later yard sale, picked up the NOS USGI Lenstatic Compass in case for $5. Also found a oddball, felt lined Green web unattributed pouch (sold) there and a average condition AMES M42 folding shovel for $8./pair (no photos). Picked up the unmarked US M1 helmet shell, pair of cotton sateen trousers ('77), green rip-stop jungle trousers ("69), and unknown aluminum box, posted on "Help Identify" sub Forum  https://www.usmilitariaforum.com/forums/index.php?/topic/410144-usn-unknown-aluminum-box/   from a friend. Looks like strap is dated 1953 on the crown suspension.  Lastly are the set of USGI wireman's tools I got this morning for $20. at the swapper. Was told this set dates from the 1980s. Knife is  CAMILLUS |New York marked but not dated. This TL29 also has instructions for use on the screwdriver blade as well. I also note the incorporation of a lanyard to hold a roll of tape on the pouch. Decided to picture my own set of wireman's tools I was issued by the USMC in late 1971. However, dumped the non-insulated pliers for a pair of insulated, red handled "XCELITE" made ones. Also while in GTMO for six months, gave the TL29s back and bought the pictured Swiss Army knife at the base PX to replace it. It is one of the very few things I retain from my tour (outside the memories)...

That is really cool. One thing that separates Militaria collecting from all others is that there is no end to what you can find if you care. History exists in all shapes and forms and beauty exists in the eye of the beholder. Man that would look so cool in my cave. Love it.
