Not on the bigger side. Someone tried to clean the blade on one side with a rotary tool. The sheath has that been oiled so much that it is floppy feel but not brittle. I have showed a couple people they said C W Era. -

Pictures do indeed tell a thousand stories. These are all really interesting war-time photos. Interesting shot with the dead Germans. I read a comment from an 82nd Airborne soldier who was at Normandy, that a lot of guys would pose for such photos, but that he never would. He wasn't criticizing his comrades, he just personally didn't want to do it. -

Late reply, but this is great research and very interesting! Very satisfying that his comrade Joseph McConnell refuted the story that Queen was shot in the back. Also - I'm glad that Queen was awarded the posthumous Silver Star. Thanks for sharing this! -

I assume it is one of the soldiers from PA. Due to the fact that I found the kit at a large flea market in central PA. The young lady I purchased it from found it at a yard sale in a very small town in PA. She actually mentioned the name I just don’t recall what it was. I certainly appreciate the information. Thanks! -

That’s fine, there usually pretty cheap, and it will give you a good idea if yours is legit or not. There under ten dollars for what you need on Amazon or you could probably find one at Walmart or a gas station (if your in the US) -
