67Rally, TY for your add to this post. Pretty obscure subject but this is becoming valuable. I hope you expand on this and publish . -

The bottom ribbon bar looks to be made of aluminum which is definitely post-war. -

I believe "the unit" you are referring to is the Pacific Military Intelligence Research Section (PACMIRS). Very cool grouping and not something seen often. I work at the museum up here at old Camp Ritchie. We have a couple of items from families and vets related to PACMIRS but it is always cool to see. As you said they would dress up in full Japanese kit and run around the mountains here. -

The building the museum currently resides in was built as the (58th) Brigade Officers' Mess. Later on it was used as a library. Most of the original Guard-era buildings still survive and have been beautifully restored. Highly recommend a visit to anyone interested. Well worth the trip! -

Oiler looks to be a WWII made by International Silver(IS). There are repros so just to be sure, check to Oring (if still there) Originals will be leather o ring and a dip stick attached to screw cap, rubber is a repop, no o ring and no dip stick= repop -

Agree. Having that AF Reserve ribbon on a jacket with a ruptured duck strongly suggest the jacket is quite "touched." Not the way it would have been worn coming home on the boat in 1945. -

This is my WW2 Marine Cover. Does it have the correct stitching pattern? -

I’ve had this nice Ike jacket a while I’d like some reviews please. I was wondering if anyone has access to records or morning reports to confirm what specific unit he served with. There is an infantry HQ disc on the collar 39102609 H. S. LITZ
