I wonder if the date is a contract number?....I have a pair of brown double buckle ones in size 15 and the only marking is a '15' on the tongue....Also have a size 14 black ones marked like yours and dated '7-66' ....Both were from the same person to which I believed served in Korea and Vietnam....Bodes

. Hi Kevin,   darn decent of you old chap to have remembered that after all these years.   Personally I still laugh at Dave `McKenna's face one time. He only had a Jeep and no car so he had taken his wife supermarket shopping, again this is back in the 1980's,  and they loaded the jeep and tried to start it, all the old wiring under the dash burst into flames and he couldn't drive it.  He had phoned for help to Ian to bring a trailer over and recover it. I was visiting Ian at the time and said forget the trailer I can pass that way and take a look ate it.  His wife took a taxi home and I arrived at the supermarket carpark to see a very despondent and worried looking Dave, his baby had burst into flames, and no longer drives. I  I took a pair of pliers and chopped a length of the burnt wire out and the look on his face that I had done that, I hot wired it and said lets get home and see what Pat has made for us to eat.    Norman D.
