Back in 1981, Fairchild were celebrating their 50th anniversary and held an event at their Farmingdale facility. I'd seen some of the merchandise on sale from time to time on ebay but had not been successful in winning anything. All I wanted was a coffee cup but ended up with six and a guidon flag. -

I'd like to think those vehicles were saved by collectors... but most were probably scrapped 😩 2 different Sherman BARV's too. I recall seeing one a few times at War & Peace, painted grey. Maybe it is in these pics 😶 -

Thanks for that. I had looked on ebay and tried to do a bit of research on it myself and things started to point to it being very rare. It's a mission for me to sell it being in NZ but i'd pack it up for a Collector. I suspect there would be someone wanting a Deadstock M-65 by this Contractor but i don't think ebays the way for me atm. It's real nice to own now i know more about it, better than a few hundred bucks. Thanks for the advice though. -
