I've also seen what looks like the same pouch being sold on other surplus sites, but not in the UCP pattern, and usually just as new production tactical gear, not surplus. I think it's a commercial piece. -

It’s not a Federal Model 1881 helmet .It’s a New York State helmet that someone added a Federal plate to. The Federal helmets were never made by Ridabock and do not have a seam and ventilator on the sides. -

A 7th Air Force patch we see, not sure if he is wearing it as his current unit or was in the 7th Air Force in WWII, that is if there were Black units of the support nature assigned to it. His ribbons are kinda hard to make out, a seem rather incomplete, is that the American Defense or the Asiatic Pacific, bottom row seems to be a National Defense, a Good Conduct and a WWII Victory -
