Real, reproduction? Not what I normally collect, but was in a collection I bought. Would love for it to be real, but I know copies abound. Does smell like an old piece of gear. Thanks in advance! -

The 110th FA unit history indicates that Battery E did exist when the 110th FA Regiment entered Federal Service on 3 Feb 41. However, during Mar 42, Battery E became Battery B 224th FAB 29th ID. "The 224th landed on June 7th, 1944 on D+1. Coupled with the 175th Infantry, it was scheduled to land on D-Day but was held back a day because of the chaos on the beach.
