Nice! A friend of mine owns Leech's uniforms. Very fond of the Gopher Gunners here in Minnesota. -

. While I was photographing the tank about eight Jeeps arrived, the occupants were all young ex American servicemen and many were amputees who had lost arms and legs serving in Iraq and Afghanistan. They were on a tour of Normandy and Europe organised by an association that helps injured ex service personnel. Norman D. Landing, Forum Normandy Correspondent, 26 April 2O26. .. -

I believe during the war RAF vehicles were mostly painted OD green, the pre-war RAF blue returning after the end of WW2. -

I have had this in my collection for a few years. I remember reading somewhere that these "snowflake" badges were prewar. On the obverse, the high points are polished. It's a really beautiful set of wings. Any and all info you can provide is welcome! John -

Looks like a type of hot stick for working the lines hot or giving the lineman clearance from live wires. Closing in fuses, changing out hardware without turning the power off. -

The Two Rivers Reporter, June 10, 1940. Wisconsin Historical Society via Newspapers.com Aalto served as a propaganda officer in the Finnish military during the Winter War. His 1940 visit to the United States combined the pursuit of professional and personal business interests, a public relations campaign for Finland, and fundraising for Finnish reconstruction. In October, Aalto had just begun a professorship at M.I.T when he was suddenly recalled to Finland by the War Department. Aalto would remain in Europe for the duration of WWII.
