TOTE is related to the fraternal organization, "Improved Order of Redmen". Guessing it is part of their regalia and early. -

It's sewn to a Uniform, a private purchase quality example from the looks of it. I looks like others I have seen. Long time WW1 collector. Only have seen a couple original examples in 30 years. Looks good to me. How-ever I am far from being an expert. -

Romans 10:13, "For whoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." I'm not Christian but I really don't see the logic on why for reenacting you would have to be a certified pastor to reenact a chaplain. As they say, the Lord runs through all of us and you don't have to be certified in any form of theology to do the Lord's work. And for what my opinions worth a well researched and accurate representation of a chaplain is an extension of the Lord's will, regardless if that person is ordained or not. My two cents. -

If you show the back it would help identify it. -

I just went to an antique store and didn’t find anything for a while but spotted a small box with some patches. I started looking through them and found some really nice ones. When I asked the lady at the front how much they were she said the owner was gone but she said she could do $5. I asked if it was 5 dollars each but she said in total. I immediately paid and kept looking around. I didn’t see anything else which was a good deal but did see some nice items. When looking at some of the patches she said that her dad served in the Korean War and that she was selling them cheap as she wanted someone to take care of them. To be clear, these were not her fathers but she just wanted these to be respected. Also, who says there are no good deals left! -

Well here it is. All parts I planned on buying for this build are now assembled. there are still some tweaking I can do. And someday if I strike gold in the back yard, I’d like to get some more of the internal parts. I’m thrilled that it’s “done”, but at the same time totally depressed. We have some family events coming up soon, so time and $ for a new project won’t happen for a while. Mikie
