Thoughts on this please. These are the only pics I have (in a lot of medals in an auction listing). -

That's what I thought, but wanted another set of more experienced wing eyes. Thank you Kurt -

It only took me about 5 years, but here is an update on Warren Guyton’s Through-the-Mail autograph collection. I eventually managed to pick up some more of his collection, filed them away and forgot about them. I just unearthed them today. Some are addressed to him on the Natchez, and some to him at the Brooklyn Navy Hospital. Far and away my fave of the group was from Minnie Pearl. All in all, a neat little peek into the life of a sailor keeping amused during the war. Does anyone else have similar items in your collections? If so, I’d love to see them. mikie -

Shelby Stanton? He did volumes on the Cold War, and VietnamWar as well. -

Looks to be pre 1963 with no zip code after the N.Y. address. The guy had 2 bottles. I thought the one with the Scotties looked neat. -

Ah, this is what I was hoping for. Indeed, neither have markings and the right has the base to the pin, which is half broken off. The left does bear a strong resemblance to the WW2 era Meyer ball and birdies, but of course is different. I also have these to add to the conundrum. The bottom is the common WW2 era Meyer for comparison. The top two are unmarked, the one with a very long pointed screw. Any and all comments welcomed. Thanks to all for your responses! -

Nice find and group of EGA's. Those early saddle blanket EGA's are a little more robust and harder to bend then their helmet counterpart's. You don't see too many of them out there. Thanks for sharing. Ken
