Col. David Hackworth, in his book, ABOUT FACE, stated when he became CO of a Bn. in the 47th Inf., 9th ID, he got read of helmet graffiti by making everyone turn their helmet covers to the Brown Side out. No doubt the "best" pieces of helmet graffiti I ever saw was ' DEAD DINKS ARE PACIFIED.' and 'Missouri is Where I Am From, Misery Is Where I'm At.' Some troops had a talent. -
