Hi :)   I have been wondering for quite some time, why there were poplin non-ripstop jungle jackets produced as late as 1969 in the 5th pattern? By that time, jungle jackets were made out of ripstop. So why reintroduce pure poplin? I have both a 5th pattern poplin jacket as well as a 3rd pattern from, I guess, around 1967 (there are no more tags present) and the two earlier models. The material is the same (maybe a bit more like the 2nd and 3rd pattern as the 1st was a bit more lightweught, as I have heard). And how rare are those actually? I have seen a few turn up, but not nearly as many as ones made out of ripstop. What is the deal with that?   Cheers, Jules

This is a perfect issue example with correct ribbon, broach, bars, and planchet.   It is an unusual bar combination.   I would have it in my collection

Once had a complete power failure on our MB during "The Final Thrust" - 2nd Armored trip in 2016. Took Adam Urbanski the whole of 2 minutes to diagnose the problem being the condenser in the distributor, and I think it took him even less time to replace it with the spare I had with me.
