Sorry I cannot help.  I have a loose Sperry gyro.  I have never seen one in the box.  The graphics are really neat.    Sperry was massively important for the war effort.  Interestingly the Fritz Duquesne spy network had infiltrated the plant prior to the war.  In fact, Germany had a copy of the ultra-secret Norden bombsite blueprints before our entry in WWII.   Again, I really like the box!

This is a well done diorama. Everything works here. The camo BDU's are great, I love the purple smoke signal. My only critique is that I know they're on grass, but I feel like you might need to ground the figures.  Otherwise 👍🏽👍🏽.

No, in WWII the one as a Patch could be worn, as well as the matching pair with Andy Jackson, the one I posted was just made  in the mid  to late 60s early 70s, you will see these with 1930s 1950s hallmarks,   Its the one from when the 30th was downgraded to a brigade size organization in 1974 that will of course not be worn in WWII.

I believe both of these would be circa 1912-1919 manufacture, mainly due to the left one lacking hallmarks. The left appears to be an early unmarked NS Meyer. The right emblem appears to possibly be JR Gaunt, with one main concern. Of course this is just speculation, but from my observations, all of my hallmarked examples from Gemsco have the stabilizing pin without a circular base. While many used similar dies with minor variations, the fouling of the rope, under the stock vs over the stock, twist rate etc. was left up to the manufacturers finisher. I tend to see the higher quality emblems have a much higher twist rate and the fouling, I personally refer to it as a Z stock , is found on earlier Gaunt birds. The main concern for its possibility to not be a Gaunt would be the size of the bronze retaining cylinder. Gaunt emblems tend to use a very long retaining cylinder, while this one is short. My 2 cents.
