March 1945 TM

Hi all,   Posted this over in the “Can you ID” forum but figured it might get some more traction here. I was gifted this bag from a friend.    From my brief research, the 10027A case was issued as part of a set for the TBX radio system, used by the USN/USMC. Upon finding out this was a Marine bag, I got it into my head that the yellow stencil might be a UNIS marking. 804 within a rectangle seems to indicate HQ 28th Marines.   I’m looking for any comparison examples of UNIS marked radio equipment (specifically 5th Div) to confirm this may be UNIS and not another marking. Well, I was wrong about one thing, I do have one. I found this in my garage today. Made in Taiwan plywood packboard.

You could easily piece together a OG-107 uniform, I think there is someone that also makes the white name tags. 

Looks like something for a helicopter like part of the SAR board as we called it in the Coast Guard

Boat pool baker was located near the mouth of the Bishi gawa. My GGrandfathwr was a CMOMM with boat pool baker . I have listened to an interview with a commander of boat pool baker that they were preparing for the invasion of Kyushu as part of operation Olympic. 

its well-known and cited that "500" were marked but how is this verified? I have visited his page often and never saw a source to verify the 500 number. As we see here this is 516 unless its an error. Will see if I have a good photo of my numbered example 

Thanks for posting this! Stumbled it while researching a velvet bringback from another Sergeant in Company D.   SGT John Gruner was overseas from May 1918 - April 1919.  

Could not find anything too interesting for storage units. Though I've noticed a lot of storage unit auctions with full duffle bags like this.
