I've had these three Engineer patches for years with the bullion patch being the last to add to my collection about three or four years ago. The one with the tabs could have bee used as an armband but not positive. If anyone has an idea of their identification, please post it. Thanks. -

I got a call from one of my estate sale lady friends recently. She had the flag at the sale and told me about the nambu after I purchased the flag. Not sure if these guys were all from one unit or just a flag ringed by anyone that stopped by. I hope I’m ok posting this here due to the US affiliation -

Attached are two belt plates that I recently picked up in a large collection of military items. I know next to nothing about Civil War items. Can anyone tell me if these two plates are original and, if so, are they from the Civil War? I can’t seem to find any info on the first one with the oval back and the Smith & Sons mark. Any help would be appreciated! -

Finally, I saw this 4-pocket, and I really like the early USAF uniforms that have shoulder SSI and / or service stripes. His Ike was listed separately, but it had nothing on it other than the chevrons. Like the Chaplain's hat, this one also had the man's full last name and last four stamped inside (which were not shown in the listing)...he was easy to track down too....I found his Dad's obit, which listed him as serving at Rhein-Main Air Base in what was then West Germany...it says he was in the "Criminal Investigations Wing" so I assume he was a Secret Squirrel...that is to say, OSI. The service stripe is a nice bullion embroidery.....the blouse also came with matching pants and a necktie...sadly no caps or the blue shirt.... Mark sends -

This next group I bought mainly for the New Mexico Army National Guard Medal of Merit, and I planned on using the visor hat insignia to restore a Chaplain's hat missing the eagle and chin strap, assuming it wasn't named. I was pleasantly surprised to find these items belonged to a man who'd earned his wings in the AAF in December 1944, but was involved in a motorcycle accident that left him in a coma for 21 days. He was medically discharged in 1946. He then moved to Washington State and taught 6th grade and band...after his wife died he moved to KCMO, remarried, then moved to PA to complete a religious degree. After he was ordained, he was sent to Truth or Consequences, NM where he decided to join the Guard as a Chaplain. Mark sends -

Group, Below are pictures of one of the 800 Smith & Wesson Model 3 American's purchased by the U.S. government on March 16, 1871. This is serial number 1807. You will notice the Ainsworth inspection marks. -

Although we have 1,000's of items, we've never received one of these BMTS jackets...the one's I've bid on previously have been bid through the roof, so I'm not sure why there was no interest in this one, unless because it's Ohio National Guard and not Regular Air Force. I didn't bother to buy one when I went through Basic, nor in Tech School, but I did get an Air Force "class ring"....who knows where that ended up..... -

I've made a few decent scores on Goodwill, all of which showed up today...nothing was more than $14. First, a Vanguard box with the uniform pieces of a Navy Flight Surgeon, circa 1950s - 1960s based on the wing hallmark...although the overseas cap eagle/anchor has the type hallmark used up until 1943....
