> Good ole Joplin and Neosho, many many fond memories of them both... what's left of me will be interred in the Praying Hands mausoleum at Ozark Memorial cemetery. -

I had S/N 234129 dated 1913. It was 100% original and without any added or spurious marks. I was told by John Beard that it was an early NRA sales rifle that was sold before the NRA started marking the floorplate as such. Also Conrad Nelson cartouche. Sadly, all the photos I had taken of it ( save a handful) were lost in a computer crash. Here are a couple of the ones that were salvaged. -

Very cool design, patch looks like it 50's vintage if not earlier. 5 inches tall. I know that NAS/NAF Alameda did lots of work on Hellcats (F6 fighters) during WW2. what are your thoughts? Squadron patch? Sport team from the base? I cannot locate anything. -

I'm sorry but this is just ridiculous. This will sound harsh but I think you might have learned from the quite common G-1 you posted on another thread, being falsely inflated by AI. You persisted against collector advise that there were features AI highlighted that made it special as if these basic features had gone unnoticed by jacket collectors for decades. I have not seen you post again on that thread to acknowledge the advice given or to concede that AI misled you. Nothing it told you about the G-1 was of any real consequence and it the same here. The reason AI is so attractive is that it is really good at arranging common info into a unique read. The technique has been used in psych questions for decades. You can arrange the same question in four or five ways and come up with a person's real answer. AI uses the reverse of this. What you fail to see is it is telling you the specific result you are asking for - conjecture. How about if AI told you what your flag actually is and what you've already been told here by Rooster? If you refuse to read real info, and yet read only AI results, you will be back again with another chase. Your answer is above in the line with the "6" Every thread that includes AI opinions has had the same silly results. Once you are sure the true answer is just too simple and easy to be so, you are an easy target for about any fanciful story spun up out there. The more you "research" the more elusive the answer is - because you've already passed it over. We've seen it a lot. It's been kind of fun but not that much anymore. This is like going to multiple medical specialists and arguing with their advice based on what you saw on a Tictoc video. All medical professionals love the Google MD info. You are welcome here but I honestly wonder why anyone would post if they already have all this valuable AI advice that disagrees not only with collectors but with well-established history. -

Since it appears that a CIB is not shown on his WD AGO 53-55, I tracked these down: His PH orders (as per his WD AGO 53-55): I was not able to find orders for a BSM, but he would have been eligible for the medal based on his CIB per: HQ Co 115th IR, to which it looks like he was assigned during early Jun 44, landed on Omaha Beach on 6 Jun 44: He was reassigned from that company on 11 Jun 44: Dan -

Those old figures really bring back memories for a lot of people — painting them yourself was half the enjoyment. Sounds like you had quite the little army with all those minis and artillery pieces.
