Does anyone know what these are called other than the title of this post? However obviously places it in WW2. Hard to understand how the Cairo Helmet found its way to England.

At least that's what I think it says. Picked up this sign at the city wide garage sale in Minster, Ohio. It's made of a heavy gauge of steel, 2 feet long and has the same thing on the other side.  Based on the paint /color scheme, any guess as to age? I'm a sucker for signs and for $20, I bought it.
