I believe the Logan-Smyth knives were made in 1987 - 1988 time frame and are not Vietnam era. As best as I can find, Logan-Smyth didn't open until 1981.

What is a complete iotv gen 2 in multicam worth? I have a complete one with soft armor, even the side plate pouch has soft armor. All attachments with the vest, I don't really feel like digging it out right now to post a photo. But I got it from a national guard guy who never really used it except a few times. It fell off his books so he never had to return it and sold it. Im guessing around $600? No plates just the soft armor, anyone on here looking for an iotv/is it even worth posting in the for sale section? Its size medium long so definitely a desirable size and supposedly the gen 2s in multicam are hard to find. Ill dig it out later tonight or tomorrow and post photos of it. I have been told from dealers who specialize in modern gear. That gen 2s only in multicam not ucp are upwards of $900 (fully complete with all attachments/soft armor not including hard plates) but honestly I feel like thats kinda high. Maybe with all gen 2 attachments as gen 2 attachments are hard to find in multicam. But again $900 seems high, in my opinion but I could be wrong.

I’m happy to say I am that young man! I’m still actively working on getting that Flag and seeing if I can get in contact with the son to get his medals and dog tags. One of the best estate sales I’ve been to and I’m happy to say other than those few things I’m pretty sure the group is staying together!

Nice vest, it will look great reenacting! Looks like it was made in 1971, and for $130 you did well. Don't think we do valuations here, but if you were to get that from eBay you would be paying a bit more and that's not including the shipping which can be big expense when armor vest collection.

The actual medal portion is the same maker and numbered.  I wonder if it was a replacement ribbon and top portion.  Sorry for the photo 3 times.

Now besides the discussion on whether it is good or not (which I am sure of). What would a price range look like for something like this? I honestly have no idea. I’ve seen some GI for 40-400 so where does this one land in your guys opinion? Thank you for all the comments everyone really appreciate it, always glad to have a good discussion.

      Any idea of the value?

A 1974 Photo of a Chinook, here it was at least just given the Red Paint Job on the rear area, and we guess was thought to be good enough, doesn't look like the forward area was done either.

R,    If I can secure it, it'll be at the end of the month. I'm really looking forward to the purchase!   John
