Greetings all. Here is an old LBE from the 80's or early 90's. Two canteens, first aid pouch w bandage, compass pouch, ear plug case, pace count beads. Butt Pack, a 30 Rnd Mag pouch a .45 pouch, thin nylon with a deteriorated rubber coating inside, and a cammo radio pouch of some sort? I never saw one of these... LBE suspenders secured with duct tape.. I found it online.. good will. Inside the Buttpack was a black knit cap, some green insert mittens for the black gloves and a pair or rubber diving gloves.... Looks to me like an Infantry LBE....      

I get claustrophobic looking at that one too long!

Saw this at a trift store and was wondering if it was actually a navy cap or something a veteran would wear?  I'm not sure about this one since it is 5.11 tactical. 

Justin, got a question.   What are the differences between the average size one I posted along with rest of the other average sized chevrons with the large West Point style ones?

Nice pickup, is the APH sizing pad simply stuck on (adhesive) or did they sew it on? 

Thanks, never would of thought that, a Military Academy sure, but not Regular Army. 

If anyone would like to add any input, share knowledge and observations in their blade collecting journey please feel free to do so. If anyone has period images of modified or theatre made blades being worn or used, that would be fantastic to see. Maybe the thread could be a pool for these creations for everyone. 

Camp Wallace was a soldiers coastal artillery training center in Galveston County Texas , began construction in 1940 and ended as an army base in 1945. It was to hold over 10 thousand soldiers at one time, also housed German POWs. If anyone has any family members that would have been based there please share.
