No problem, 8 dated 42’ is Awsome, I still only have 1 43 dated pouch, nothing earlier, still haven’t found one yet. Always love seeing your posts, never disappoints! -

Exactly gear fan. This was definitely exciting. And to find 8 that were 42 dated was neat. Thanks for the comment. -

Nice score! It’s always the best when you find old stuff you forgot about, it’s just like finding something brand new, gives you a similar adrenaline rush, and best of all it doesn’t cost any money! -

In my garage! While looking for a box of helmet liners earlier tonight I uncovered these carbine mag pouches. 31 of em of which 8 were dated 1942 and the rest appeared to be 1943. Kind of a surprise. I plan on digging some more tomorrow. -

I stopped working on the bloody (literally) bolt firing pin hole clearing and worked on getting the bolt and op rod sliding in the receiver channel instead. It just needed a little more filing and it works smoothly now. I’m sorely tempted to get a better operating rod. My Garanding budget is out for the moment. Maybe with my next paycheck. IMG_1929.mov -

Another offered with belt on FB in US Military Collectibles "Make Offer" Page. Naval Aviator named to Phil Hardy. Interesting that it is being sold and shipped from Vietnam. -
