I'm fairly certain these are real (as in "of the era"). They were found in box full of his personal Vietnam artifacts. But I'm puzzled by the strange font and inconsistent quality. Any explanations are appreciated. -

An 03a4 I picked up a few years ago. Figure it was a DCM release at some point. Paid 600 for it at a show when that was "the going rate" Came with nice BOYT 44 dated sling as well. -

There was a guy on the CMP forum that filled a M1903 or M1917 chest and it took him years to find some of the harder bits. -

Some amazing and seldom seen items. Is the B52 a license plate topper or attach to the crown of a bread loaf type mail box? -

Ahhh, ok, gotcha. I would cotton onto that thesis if the 1st ID paint / decal was less worn than the surrounding paint. To my eyes, it looks more worn, which is why I feel it's been messed-with. -

Looking back at it, it does read weird. I was just throwing out the idea that the helmet was used in the field without the 1st ID insignia thus gathering wear. and later come occupation era the insignia was applied on a already weathered helmet explaining why it looked off. I am definitely on the side it was applied and artificially weathered. I was just trying to offer a different way to look at it. -

Thanks for the name of the company that made these. I will label it now because there is no way I will remember it! Steve -
