I forgot about that with the new system. That’s on me, sorry about that. I think you can submit paper copies and not have to go through the that process. The ID.me is for viewing online results

I recently purchased this “new to me” 1903 Springfield at a relatively low cost, since the stock has been cut down. However I noticed that it doesn’t seem to have the same modifications that other spotter versions have, and my gun smith confirmed that all of the hardware is present and hasn’t been sporterized, but made a comment about the rifle being “parkerized.” I saw a couple of previous topics mentioning that some rifles were rebuilt by the Marines staring in the late 30s. Do I have a possible Marine rebuild rifle?

. Hi Kevin,   I think that statement applies to a whole bunch of us, I am pleased to say that presently I am still here and kicking, a lot of friends didn't make it this far, and some that did act as if they are in their 90's . . . . . . . . . . .    Norman D. . Hi mikie.   Be careful out there and avoid any m aches marked ' S.W.I. '  such as U.S. 1943 S.W.I.  or  USMC 1944 S.W.I. ,   SWI was a Wholesale Surplus Supply company that had these machetes manufactured in the early 1990's to supply the military surplus trade., I saw all these reproductions stacked up in cartons at  the surplus company I visited in the 1990's, they came just as the machete without canvas covers,  but if anyone finds an original  dated canvas scabbard it gives the blade some originality       Norman D. Look for who is related to his son. Did he have a wife? Check the grave yard for NOK.
