You could try using some shirt stays. I don’t know how historically accurate it is, and it wouldn’t be very comfortable, but for a dress uniform, it should help it not puff up as much. -

Stupid question, but if I ran 7.62x51 blanks in a Garand would there be any negative effects? Would I need an adjustable blank adapter for this, or would I be fine with a non-adjustable gas block? I’m just wondering if I can save some money on blanks for my upcoming tactical event. -
