If I had to guess, I would say that non-sterling DUI dates mid to late 40's after the strategic metal restrictions were lifted and DUI's resumed being made of metals other than sterling. And then again, could be pre/very early WW2 using the similar logic. In any case, two very nice DUI's. -

. we added the wheels to the wagon . . . . . . . . After a weeks break while I had friends visiting from the UK we got back down to work on the wooden Jeep again today. We added the axles and the wheels and also tested how our chopped down garden chairs looked sat in the Jeep, overall we were very pleased with the appearance. Next jobs are fitting the steering wheel and column, the gear stick, low ratio sticks, and the pedals and a few other details. Norman D. Landing, Forum Normandy Correspondent, 09 May 2O26. .. -

Here's an image of a "first" for me, via a request for man the patch is going to , he asked for it to be painted on this material as some' patches were during WW-2 , anyway this one is 5 1/2 inches in size and I think came out great , WW2 AAF- 403rd Bombardment Squadron, enjoy :) -

I might be misunderstanding you but to clarify. His is the 16 inch uncut version. Not the 10 inch one. Again, i might be misunderstanding -
