I just put this search into ebay ( US GI WWII hatchet replacement handle ) there were several replacement hatchet handle, some for GI hatchets hope this helps. I am also lookinf for a pick mattock handle at a reasonable price -

A Colt M1917 sold at a localish shop/range last year for about $900 with only a holster (which was in really nice shape). The revolver itself was at least as nice as yours and it sat for quite a while as in my opinion, the store where it was for sale was the wrong venue for a collectable of that nature. When it finally sold, I'd say that whoever got it made out well. -

There was a guy in WI that did all the military vehicle and gun shows that had cases of them. He died some years back, but his inventory must have gone somewhere. They are out there. -
