Nice pigeon display you have there. Good job! Those kinds of items dealing with pigeons I've always found fascinating. -

Yep! I went to a friend’s house to see his latest finds. When I got there, he held his closed hand out and said “you got to see these”! I reached my hand out, thinking it was some WWII German medals or something similar, and he dropped a pair of ears in my hand! He said they were VC ears that he got from a Nam vet. As soon as I realized what they were, I dropped them on the floor and ran into the kitchen and washed my hands. -

for Carbine stuff go to the Carbine Club ORD 7 is the nomenclature adopted for the part of the Supply Catalog related to Organizational Spare Parts and Equipment. In other words who should get what items and how many they should get. You have a kit for the user assigned the carbine. From Ordnance's care and repair perspective, this is First Echelon personel. A slightly earlier kit shown here https://www.uscarbinecal30.com/Forum/m1-carbine-accessory-packs-1954-dated_topic5146.html a similar one here https://www.uscarbinecal30.com/Forum/spare-parts-for-m1-carbine-m1a1_topic5292_post41250.html#41250 and here with additional discussion https://www.uscarbinecal30.com/Forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=7229&PID=61272&title=6-magazines-in-canvas#61272 Since then a couple of us have been aquiring B-28 or copies to try to put together a chronology of changes.
