Hi, I'm trying to restore the original visor of a 1966 HGU 2A/P which has a piece broken off. Can anyone tell me what type of plastic it would be made of (PLA, PET, ABS) ? Manufacturer is Gentex Cheers -

Hi everyone, I bought a boom mike off ebay to fit to an HGU 2A/P im restoring as a FAC helmet. It came with a chrome clip attached. Anyone got a photo of this clip fitted to a helmet/boom mike please. Photo of the clip attached. Cheers -

There is no definitive or circumstantial evidence in any way to remotely prove that this helmet was from a Marine Raider. It seems to me the helmet is referencing MCB Quantico Virginia 1961. The Marine wrote his last name on the helmet and painted couple different symbols as a souvenir helmet. -

Thanks for the comments!! Thats why I posted it, thought it was worth some research!! The 61' could possibly be a year reference. Have you ever seen original WWII Marine Raider patches? These look worse then the supposed clown on the back of the helmet. Hopefully you don't own these!!! Lol!! -

Here is my early Nam advisor period about 4 years ago. 13 star-buttoned 107's, 51 field cap, with Okinawa Boots.
