Found another one! https://www.history.navy.mil/content/history/nhhc/our-collections/photography/us-people/l/luce-stephen-b/nh-48030.html Stephen Bleecker Luce Luce, Stephen B. Midshipman, 19 October, 1841. Passed Midshipman, 10 August, 1847. Master, 15 September, 1855. Lieutenant, 16 September, 1855. Lieutenant Commander, 16 July, 1862. Commander, 25 July, 1866. Captain, 28 December, 1872. Commodore, 25 November, 1881. Rear Admiral, 5 October, 1885. Retired List, 25 March, 1889. Although the original source where I found the photo said Lt Commander, I think it more likely to be post-war. -

Id agree with you on that Thorin, I think they are a very nice knife overall both in practicality and aesthetically. I know one of my distant relations must of thought the same, he sent one back to England from the US prior to ww1 then returned and carried it in the Mesopotamia Campaign, before heading back to the US and buying yet another.... I still use one for bushcraft every so often. -

Patience really is key, sometimes you have to consciously stop actively looking for a certain item just to for the shiny item gods to take notice and materialise one in a place you least expect it. -

I found this single 1943 dated 30-06 M2 cartridge from the what appears to be Lake City Army Ammunition plant. How much would this ammunition be worth per round since the supply of WW2 dated M2 ball ammunition is really scarce nowadays? -

You should post a list of the common division patches you’re looking for in the Wanted section Hopefully they’ll be much cheaper and will help you avoid excessive postage buying them one by one on EBay. -
