Those are mine except the duplicate. Thats aef 1917's helmet The more matted one. Theres also a version of it with bright camo that looks like it was post armistice. As a disclaimer.. I think these were all pre armistice. Cant prove it. But as you can see, these are somewhat plainly marked, no pictures or colored emblems covering the entire lid. More marked for business than show. -

i dont think so since is says 18 june 1951 and then has a DA number DA-30-250-??? behind it. i suppose it couldve been dyed but if it was they did an exceedingly good job of it as the cut edged of the leather is still brown. perplexing to be sure. -

Nice, I was actually just chatting with him today, how long ago did you know him? And when were you in CA? Pre HUSC? -

Yeah, I've known him for years, and we have attended many events together. I'm originally from Ca, but have since moved to Ga. -

US Army Ambulance Service The sight seeing 6th... The diamond Division.. 2nd Army 3rd army 37th Engineers 2nd Division. and USMC attached to 2nd Division.... Keystone Division. 1st Army, The 37th eng helmet has a very faint 2nd army insignia on its side. Thats all I can think of that might qualify.
