Slowly growing my collection of US military visor caps / military visor caps in general. I recently purchased this Flight Ace cap, size 7 3/8. Very clean, minus the few marks on the chin strap. There looks to be some markings that could ID who owned it, however it is very faint (I think I can make out "BECK" at most). -

Looks like it to me but I wanted to make sure. Also how common are these compared to other acu's? I also found an Identical coat on the second page of this topic. https://www.usmilitariaforum.com/forums/index.php?/topic/239555-commercial-vs-issued-multicamscorpionocp/ -

I agree that the sling is likely post-war. I know carbine magazines marksed with “IS” are made by Inland -

I picked up this sling and oiler from a local gun store for $10. I have been looking for a sling to go on my Rock-Ola. I know this is a D-tip, so I am guessing it is post-war. Could this still be military, if so what era? The oiler has a IS in a circle, so does that make the oiler WW2? Any information greatly appreciated! -

The author did state, that his g-father served in Germany in the early 50’s during the KW. Is it possible, that this hat was put together from parts, due to lack continued manufacturing after the war and used in some municipal role, aka de-naz’d. Or sold / traded to soldiers for cigarettes, food, etc? -

My father was 509 PIR in WW2. This patch looks very similar to some of the ones he picked up at a 509 reunion.
