Hi Beth (Dutton?), I know absolutely nothing about saddles but perhaps you can take a look at this previous post and see if it makes any sense to you.  Hopefully, someone that knows more about what you have will answer as well.  By the way, in case it is you, I love your new show on CBS. https://www.usmilitariaforum.com/forums/index.php?/topic/267993-jqmd-1942-saddle-yard-sale-pickup/

I agree. That's what I was thinking.    Wade

I'm going to say that the shoulder patch is for the 8th Army, but the photo has been colorized, and the patch colors were done incorrectly. The chevron and overseas bars are also color enhanced, so there is some latitude taken on the actual colors.   Allan

Picked these up today and wanted to verify if they are original or not. Verdigris on the rivets leads to say original. Maker marks look ok, but the color is VERY tan, instead of darker brown as aged leather tends to get. The Sears hanger is magnetic, the Enger Kress hanger is not. Thoughts? Even if they aren't original, I paid $3 a piece for them!

Hello,  It is hard to see for me but it looks like the patch is not factory produced. That might also help in the search to know what its from. I don't really know what patch it is but i am looking to find which one it is. If i find anything i'll let you know! -BC

I spotted this Hummvee while out walking my granddogs. I know little about these vehicles but guessing this is civilian. Just thought I’d post to get opinions of those with better knowledge.  We also met a triceratops but I’m guessing that is for a different forum.  mikie

Hi all, I am new here, please forgive my ignorance! Am in search of some info that I have not been able to find online, but I could be searching the wrong terminology.   I have two saddles that I would like to sell to a new home, for someone who can use them. They are both in excellent condition and easily can be ridden. I have found very little on the JQMD saddle and nothing on the on other.   Have attached photos, any info would be greatly appreciated. :)  THANK YOU! Beth
