I would like to know the story on this machine. The reason I’m interested is I have a piece of it. It’s a clover leaf shaped piece of wood that feeds the clips into the loader. It’s kind of a clip magazine!! I need another 100 clips to fill it up!! -

hello, If it were me, I would actually be comfortable with the 'copy'. I.E. it is not an official marker. Someone made a copy for whatever reason. I can understand wanting an original, but I know what it means to have an original. It was likely stolen from a cemetery. So, sort of like ivory, I would not want to fuel the demand for these by purchasing the real thing. I have seen these grave markers in the wild still in southern cemeteries. Every time I see one, I wonder how long it will be left alone. I would imagine there are better repros of these or a 'commemorative' version or copy available. Maybe the UDC is willing to sell a damaged 'replaced' version if contacted? Sort of like when the Navy replaces damaged parts of the USS Constitution... I would contact the UDC and explain why I wanted one to commemorate my family history. They may be willing to work with you because of that reason. Just my thoughts. Cheers! -

Remi, thanks, will let you know when they land. Do you collect WWI & WWII wings or just WWI? Wondering how many WWI you have and how long you've been collecting. Cheers! Gerard -

Fredrich March as Cristoforo Colombo or if you like Cristóbal Colón or if you like Christopher Columbus or just plain old Chris LOL. From the 1949 Christopher Columbus, seen this like only once way way back in like the early 70s on T.V. This was actually a British Movie, March and the actress who played Queen Isabella Florence Eldridge, where the only Americans in it. Florence Eldridge was in fact married to Fredrich March, married a long time, from 1927 till March's passing in 1975. -

Based upon the earlier thread that Charlie Flick posted, it appears this 7-inch bladed knife is early 1920s. It has the aluminum pommel and the 1/2-inch pommel nut. -
