Just a follow up reference the fake SIGMA USAFRescue posted on May 11th. There was only one possible glimmer of hope that the blade might have been an original. Removed from the original handle, the serial numbers ground off, repolished and put in a Gray Armorhide handle. I just needed to compare the etched font on the suspect blade. I have concluded that this knife is a 100% fake SIGMA MKII. The font is close to the originals, but there are several differences from the originals. The quotation marks on both sides of the word SIGMA, are too high in proportion to the lettering. The numbers 6 & 9 are inline with the rest of the numbers on the fake, where the originals had the top of the number 6 rising slightly above the other numbers and the bottom of the 9 dropping below the rest of the numbers. Several of the letters are wider on the originals also. I have reached out to the auction company that has this knife to let them know. USAFRescue, thank you for bringing this to all our attention. -

Here's one for sale on FB Mkt out of Frenso, CA. Messaged him and told of interest. Asked IF.. they ship and take Paypal. The reply was , yes. Made an offer and then they , said cash only. Told them no cash from me. They said, "bye", then blocked me, and state it was no longer for sale. Being curious, I used a co-workers FB account to see if it was still listed. Yep! This guy is probably a scammer. Good set of buckles. Aviation Boatswain Mate , US NAVY , 1958-1962 , JACK HORNER
