I’ll likely take it to a professional I know to try to get it fixed. My hands are too shaky to do anything like that. The caps not really anything special its just a identified visor cap I got a few years back but thanks for the help -

Aha, proud to say I was amongst those who identified the 81mm Mortar Base Plate Carrier on page 266.. Back in the day I put a complete set from my collection on a mannequin, took pre-digital photos and mailed them to Ken for identification.... How things have changed... -

When`military`aircraft`are`stricken`from`inventory`the`data`tags`are`pulled.`The`main`makers`data`tag`is`normally`found`in`the`cockpit.Odds`are`those`birds`were`scrapped`at`some`point`in`time. I`would`look`at`Bauger's`list`for`tail`number`39-1139`for`that`Lockheed`bird. -
