Bannerman's made and sold these. Though many were made, you're probably correct that no two were alike. -

I think it was awarded to US Government civilian employees. Whether Red Cross workers qualified, I don't know. -

It may just be how I’m seeing the photo of the BSM, but that looks customized as well, the small star in the middle of the bronze star looks silver. It’s also dark around it, as if an added device made it so. -

Now that is a really interesting and cool piece. Bet you there's none just like that. -

Thought I'd share the latest M1C that I've picked up and setup. M1C shell is unissued with a heal stamp of M 335B which I'm assuming is from the McCord production in 1965 (any expers out there please confirm), (this I sourced in Australia) and came with its cardboard packing (which I have kept!!). I also sourced a and early P64 liner from J.Murray Inc and Josh set ot up perfectly and I also sourced a mitche cover DSA 1-7005, this cover was also used in "We Were Soldiers Once and Young" and a late war helmet band, I've even just managed to source the correct liner instruction book here in Australia, so I'm supper stoked how it came out. -

Sounds like you have a wide variety of interests too Mikie. I love space items too but most everything like that is really expensive. There is only one Star Trek for me and it's the one with William Shatner as James Tiberius Kirk. Us four kids used to love watching that show, over and over... -
