His discharge paper only show him as receiving the EAME ribbon with 3 stars, American Defense Medal, and the Good Conduct Ribbon.  He actually earned the EAME with 5 stars, the ATO Medal, and the Silver Star.  As well as the Victory Medal and Army of Occupation Medal.  They were not on top of their paper work back then.  This really stinks.  He was also not eligible for the CIB because he was assigned to the 19th Field Artillery even though he was a Field Lineman working with the infantry.  Not only was he on the front line, when he earned his Silver Star he was in front of the front line.   Thanks Ken

This is the smaller ones 8 lessons I think everyone with its own map as shown

I recently acquired this training manual from  Fort knox 1960's It seems to be about how to attack or defend in Germany It is very thick and has over 30 maps. This is not my area of expertise and I am sure I dont appreciate it as much as I should.  I am a reseller and wanted to get your input. I also have a smaller one.  It has 9 lessons and the maps are not as interesting as these. Any info will be greatly appreciated.   

Looks to me it's a written commendation that may or may not also involve a medal.......His records should indicate what awards he would have been entitled to receive.....I believe the Bronze Star to be the potential award....Bodes

Odd spelling mistake, can't find any of the engraved names as being associated with the B17 of the same name and that particular one is pretty well documented. However, it could be a temporary crew.

This thing is huge as the board it it mou ted on is a 4'x8' plywood sheet. It also states that it was from Camp McCoy. The model is all wood and it painted to match the key to the right side. It is functional as you can pull the slide to work the action. I think its very cool but huge. IMA had a similar one but it sold.   Any thoughts?   Thanks, Kevin
