Looks like the veteran that received that Certificate of Satisfactory Service was a Naval Aviator who flew dirigibles. -

Just a few antique show pickups here in Urbana, Ohio today. A brief lookup search this afternoon shows LT Dock was stationed as an Ordnance Officer in Washington DC until the war ended. -

Based on the price tag string going through the helmet rivet hole, there is no liner. So an inside view won’t provide any useful info. Helmet shell is not doubt a genuine WW1 with a humped-up paint job. $475 is a sucker price. A bargain if real (which it is not), terrible price if not real (which it is) . Based on his other offerings, seller is a “gun show commando” who gets everything he has checked out. He wouldn’t be selling a rare helmet at a low price. No bargains to be had. Just overpriced junk or common items. Be sure to check out the “rare” Luftwaffe Sea Battle Badge he has in the frame. Seek out better sources for your collection. -

From AI overview: "Veni, vidi, vici is a Latin phrase translating to "I came, I saw, I conquered," famously attributed to Julius Caesar in 47 BC to describe a swift, decisive victory." -
