As for the Visor cover you can scuff the white paint with sandpaper to allow the Olive Drab paint to stick better. The SPH-4B has always been dual visor take off the NVG visor as that isn't accurate to a SPH-4B . -

I've heard from some of the og ww2 reenactors that apparently when saving private ryan came out in the late 90s. Ww2 collecting and ww2 reenactments exploded in popularity. -

Great information! The photo of my 308-11 matches the photo in the thread. With an estimated production of 75 pieces of each variety, and the destruction of remaining stocks after the war ensures the devices are indeed scarce. -

Hello, Robert here. Retired engineer with a fascination with ejection seats since I was seven. Eventually got to work at McDonnell Douglas Escape Systems division for a few years in the 90s. Spent the last 15 years of my career in commercial aircraft seating design and manufacture. After several tries and many years watching the prices for seats go up and up, I found a real bargain on a T-33 seat in good but incomplete condition (it does have the harnesses!). My plan is to do a cosmetic restoration for display. Joined the group as I have seen several posts here on the subject and would like to contact others that have done this. The intention is to build simple copies of components that are missing such as catapult (already have some 2.25 dia aluminum tubing), height adjustment mechanism, etc. This site is a wonderful place to get lost in =) I also have an interest in AR-15 rifles and developments, building a series of 1/3 scale replicas using Trumpeter kits and 3D printed parts to make replicas of CAR-15 608s and other obscure versions and have found useful information here. Cheers! -
