I served with CPT Keith from 1970-1972 in C 3/325, 2D Brigade, 82D Airborne.  He was a good man; he was highly respected.  As a company commander, his troops loved him. I was a second lieutenant in his company.

. Talking off muddy covered Jeeps, NEVER attempt to tow a Jeep using rope or cable around the middle of the front bumper bar . . . . .       Norman D. Landing, Forum Normandy Correspondent, 30 March  2O26.   …

The one with the strap and buckle seems to be teh Navy version, however, it doesn't match what the uniform Regs describes (Basically the same as the Army version). I have not found any documentation yet that defines this style.  But I have pictures that show it.   Here's what the Navy Uniform Regs say about the medical brassard:   8-9 Geneva Cross Brassard-The GenevaCross brassard shall consist of a band of white cotton bearing a red Geneva Cross painted or stitched on the band, to be fastened around the upper part of the right anii over the outer garment. The band shall be four inches wide, the cross three inches in height and width, and the arms of the cross one inch wide. It shall be worn by ambulance and first aid parties.   The Navy didn't used the Army's version of having  the Serial number on the brassard and the Medical ID Card. The Navy's Medical Department Regulations only indicated that the Medical Personnel ID card (Standard Navy ID card would have as follows:   2251.1. Every member of the Medical, Dental, Hospital, and Nurse Corps shall carry at all times a special identification card (Navpers-546) bearing a stamped Red Cross in the lower left corner. The card shall also show the date of issue, the corps, and the rank or rating.   2251.2. Every member of the crew of a hospital ship, whether officer or enlisted, shall carry a Navpers-546. In addition to the data required in paragraph 2251.1, the Navpers-546 issued to a person serving on a hospital ship shall bear the name of the ship typed below the photograph.       Here's a picture of a Navy field medical kit showing the brassards   In all of my years collecting, I've only seen two Navy "medical" ID Cards. The WAVES one I saw on ebay and the Male enlisted one I have that I got out of a scrapbook.

. Hi earlymb & Johan.   Nice selection of lamps and guards,   Mine are just a rusty matched pair of an 'F ' stamped horseshoe bracket and a Ford marked lamp , it matches in with the rest of the muddy Jeep.         Norman D. Landing, Forum Normandy Correspondent, 30 March  2O26.   …

Possibly German 88mm?  Base is too mutilated to see any markings.

I have an Escort Wagon that it's time to sell. I was told that it is an M1876 with wheels that are all the same size not like the M1878's that have larger rear wheels. Also that they were used to transport cannons. I have the Great Blue Army Wagon book but it does not give me more info that I am looking for. If anyone is willing to share any info on it with me , I would appreciate it. Or if anybody is looking to purchase it please let me know. Located near Milwaukee WI. Also springs were added for comfort while used in parades. That is why the box is sitting high right now. They can be easily removed. I am asking $7,500. I am not a wagon expert and am basing price on others that are similar that I have seen. If interested please call. Lou-  262-705-9333
