That would make sense. I have a photo of him at his wedding in August of 1945, and his 10th Armored patch is on his left sleeve. Wade -

Lukypom, If you sell it as "dead stock" be sure it actually is. While it appears to be in excellent condition, "Dead stock" technically means off the shelf, old inventory that didn't sell or was never issued. Overall it's nicer than most you see out there but be advised those guys want actual unused garments. Just an FYI, Dave -

Being that the 10th Armored division is on the right sleeve, it is an indication that the wearer of that jacket was attached to the 10th Armored Division, before being assigned to the 7th Corp whose patch appears on the left sleeve. -

It is indeed a solid book, gave my copy to a younger collector last year before he headed back state side. -

Here is the next group from a man captured in the Philippines. I found this group in Detroit. -

In the 80s we did chem exercises constantly. Waiting for the jet to come back we usually crashed in the shelter with the door closed if not needed elsewhere. We were in condition "Black" in full MOPP gear and M17 series masks on. There were 2 crew chiefs and one 3-man weapon load crew. We just went back to condition "Yellow" and took off the masks. One of the weapons troops was out cold, so one of the crew chiefs took a black magic marker and colored in the eye pieces on his M17 mask. The jet returned shortly, and as we opened the door and the noise flooded the shelter, the guy stood up and staggered around with his arms out while his head whipped back and forth. He finally wised up and pulled off the mask. The rest of us were in tears. The pilot thought we lost it. The weapons guy was pretty salty for the rest of the shift! Randy -

Id like to know more about that. What does 10th at lease mean? "Borrowed" from another unit? Wade -

Similar one I inherited from an older collector. Still a solid book after all these years in my opinion -
