I just did some googling and agree it sure seems to be one. I hadn’t considered it being an ambulance. Hopefully none of you had to take a ride in the back of one of these. mikie -

It looks to be an unarmored one: versus: These ambulances were of limited use “outside the wire” in both Afghanistan and Iraq, partially due to the IED threat; obviously, the unarmored one more so. -

Hi, Does the 1936 version have the extended cantle? And this saddle doesn't have those holes in the pommel either. Maybe this is the M-1917 version? Have found images in Google that look similar. And it doesn't have any US stamping on anything. You all are the experts, would just like to learn the history of these saddles and maybe find someone to appreciate them. :)
