I`really`do`suggest`watching``Dr`Paine's`seminar's`on`world`geopolitics.`Dr.`Paine`goes`back`in`history`and`covers`major`player`nations...For``some`nations,`like`China`Dr`Paine`has`to`step`back`a`thousand`years`in`order`to`explaine`how`they`became`who`they`are`today.`For`someone`to`say`you`need`time`for`dust`to`settle`before`you`can`understand`an`event`and`then`not`look`at`the`past`when`the`dust`has`settled`strikes`me`as...something. If`you`think`todays`news`is`a`one`off`event...it`is`not.`It`has`roots`that`run`deep`into`the`past.`If`you`do`not`at`least`have`an`understanding`of`that`past`then`you`will`never`understand`today`and`be`just`as`lost`about`tomorrow' Spolier`alert`WW2`did`not`end`in``ticker`tape`parades.`It`quickley`morphed`into`the`Cold`War`and`that`in`fits`and`spirts`lead`us`to`today. I think it's just a patriotic decoration rather than something specific to a particular unit.  This kind of shield is a pretty common motif on WWI helmets.

But has been stated repeatedly, none of us knows what is really happening in this war/not war. Congress hasn't declared a war.  The US citizens are getting conflicting information.   Tweets in the middle of the night are not the way to inform our country what is happening in this war/not war.    Time will tell the truth. Won't happen right away but hopefully in the near future....

And what will go in place of the Islamic government? How will this "new government" take control? There are more of the same ready to take over. Just another never ending war costing us billions and skyrocketing our national debt....   Everyone knew that the Strait of Hormuz was Iran's fallback plan. Threatening to destroy the power plants of another nation is a war crime. It would affect the entire Iranian civilian population and environment. This is different than blowing up a train or a factory.  

I have both types of this patch and have wondered about the color difference. I assumed it was just some manufacturer trying to simplify the process. Does the red or blue flame have any significance or was the spec changed at some point?  And yes, I know the color of the flame depends on what you are burning in the lamp.

The buttons with the wreath are the type usually used by the Navy. CBs and other land based unites wear this style as a work uniform so it was probably made under a Navy contract. The EGA on the packet is the newer style, someone probably added it to a Navy jacket to make it more valuable and easier to sell.
