I think, that @RKurz will not respond to any of the valid questions asked. At this point, it seems like the whole point of this discussion is for him to throw dirt at forum members, who offered advise, and for him to ignore questions and help with identification. IF he will post in this thread again, I doubt, that you or anyone else, who asked questions, will receive an answer... -

Maybe, when the current wars wrap up, the international community will have time to take up the matter of your rare shirt? 🤣 -

I am glad, that I am not the only one with that opinion -

Your shirt has buttons on the cuffs. And there is no silk lining on the collar or the cuffs. The shirt in question should have no buttons on the cuffs and silk lining in the collar and cuffs. Your shirt seems to be missing those items. ? Or am I missing something? Ive been asking you about this and you keep ignoring it...., ? -

I might be wrong, but wasn't that very common up until the 1960s? I have seen a number of shirts fromthe 1940s, 1950s and late 1960s, which had numbers and some letters "embroidered" (actually it was just kind of a laundry number quickly done with needle and thread to identify the item)
