Now that’s a haul, will display very nicely in my opinion. The armoured belt buckle is my favourite though 😛

I always wanted a M1903A4 but I never had any luck getting one! How much did you get it for if you don’t mind me asking?

Its all just as you hypothesized, as long as it looked close to the standard, which was found in ARs in this case Army Regulation 670-5 from, the 50s- 60s.   Ones that are available on line so far   AR 670-5 1959 https://ciehub.info/ref/AR/670-5_1959.pdf   AR 670-5 1968 https://ciehub.info/ref/AR/670-5_1968.pdf   AR 670-5 1969 https://ciehub.info/ref/AR/670-5_1959.pdf

No sir. Side by side I have ERDL highland and M81 woodland. ERDL Highland (not to be confused with the more Green dominant ERDL lowland) is more tiger stripe like and has smaller pattern. M81 includes more brown and has a slightly rounder shape as well as being overall larger pattern. Funnily enough ERDL highland was the direct predecessor to M81.  I will say I am slightly colorblind so I rely solely on shape and size of camouflage patterns for accuracy.

I found some family documents. He's was a major in WWII and his duties were managing the managers of the chow line - well probably more than that - procurement for sure - menus?, etc. He grew up in the restaurant business. It's not glamorous but what's better for moral and readiness but good, consistent food?

Very sad, this is what family does. The minimilist want nothing. I see it every day.  This Airman spent most of his life serving his country, They coluld have at least donated it to the goodwill.  That just gets me....
